there are many versions of legend of zelda.
which one is the fastest? does it matter if you have japanese character or are everyone the same?

For Zelda 2:
The different versions are treated as different categories, because the versions are actually coded differently and not just ports/translations, however:
The Japanese FDS version is fastest for 100% all keys.
The US NES version is fastest for all other categories.
